Turf for the north end of Brevard
Titusville is the county seat, on the Indian River across from Merritt Island and the Kennedy Space Center. It’s also the far end of our Melbourne team’s territory, about 40 miles up I-95 from our Aurora Rd location. Titusville homeowners get the same free on-site estimate as the rest of Brevard: we measure, bring samples and price the job in person.
Titusville lots range from riverfront homes to larger inland lots west of US 1. For larger yards, Tropical Flow 50 covers more ground at a lower cost. For commercial frontage and HOA common areas, Bermuda’s four-tone C-blade is our standard pick.
Watering, the Titusville way
Titusville runs its own water utility, using its own wellfields plus water bought wholesale from Cocoa, and publishes its own irrigation schedule. For March 8 to November 1, 2026:
- residential odd addresses water Wednesday and Saturday
- residential even addresses water Thursday and Sunday
- commercial properties water Tuesday and Friday
There’s no watering from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the rules apply to city water, well water and reclaimed water alike. Turf areas drop off that schedule entirely. Florida’s turf rule bars in-ground irrigation on synthetic turf, so we cap those heads during the install.
The strictest lagoon buffer in our area
Titusville goes further than most Brevard cities to protect the lagoon. Its fertilizer ordinance bans nitrogen and phosphorus from June 1 to September 30 and requires a mandatory 25-foot fertilizer-free zone along the Indian River Lagoon. Turf needs no fertilizer, so a riverfront turf lawn fits that buffer with no extra effort.
Built to the state standard
Every Titusville install follows Florida’s turf rule (DEP Rule 62-308.100):
- permeable turf over a washed natural base
- natural infill
- no heavy metals or added PFAS
- a 10-foot setback from the water unless a seawall separates them
- septic tank access kept open
Titusville is also among the Brevard cities speeding up septic-to-sewer conversions, so we confirm where the tank and any planned connection sit before we lay out the yard.
