Green With Every Step

The whole build, not just the floor

Most indoor projects need more than turf. A batting facility needs cages and netting that keep balls where they belong. A turf field or training gym needs pro walls or padded walls where athletes run, throw and play into the boards, and lanes that line up with the room. When different companies handle each piece, the layout rarely fits together.

We plan the whole interior with you and build it as one project:

  • Turf for training floors, cages, sprint and sled lanes
  • Walls: pro walls (hockey-style dasher boards) or padded walls, whichever the space needs
  • Netting for batting cages, divided bays and ball containment
  • Batting cages sized and placed to fit your floor plan

One team, one schedule and one point of contact from layout to finished floor.

The turf we use indoors

Most indoor floors get Legacy Speed. It is a 3/4-inch slit-film blade in field green and green on a 5mm foam pad, with a 48 oz face weight. It needs no infill, so there are no rubber pellets or sand to sweep up or track through the building. Legacy Speed carries a 10-year warranty.

The foam pad gives the floor some cushion for drills and agility work, and the short, dense blade stands up to cleats, sleds and cage traffic.

How an indoor build works

  1. Walk the space. Your local team measures the room, ceiling height, doors and columns, and talks through how you want to train.
  2. Plan the layout. We place cages, lanes and open turf so the space works for the sports and drills you run.
  3. Price the full build. You get one written price for the turf, walls, netting and cages.
  4. Build it. We install everything as one project and walk the finished space with you.

Who we build for

We build indoor spaces for training gyms, baseball and softball facilities, team and academy training centers, and private training rooms. If you are converting a warehouse, retail space or barn, start with a site visit and we will plan the build around the building you have.

For outdoor fields, see our sports turf and Speed Zone field systems.

Indoor turf & facilities FAQ

Common questions

Do you build more than the turf?

Yes. We handle the full interior of a training space: the turf, the walls, the netting and batting cages. For walls we build pro walls (hockey-style dasher boards) or padded walls, whichever the space needs. Planning them together keeps the layout, sightlines and ball containment working as one space.

Which turf do you use indoors?

Most indoor floors get Legacy Speed: a 3/4-inch slit-film blade on a 5mm foam pad with no infill, so there is nothing to kick out or sweep up. Your local team will confirm the right product for your sport and floor.

What kinds of facilities do you build?

Training gyms, batting and pitching facilities, team and academy training spaces, and sled and sprint lanes. If you are converting a warehouse or retail space, we can plan the layout with you before the build.

Can you work with my landlord or general contractor?

Yes. We plan the turf, walls and netting around the building and coordinate with whoever is managing the space so our work fits the rest of the project.

How do I get a price?

Send the size of the space and what you want to train for. Your local Turf Factory team will visit, measure and give you a written price for the full build.
