What we install
Premier Putt
Texturized nylon at a tight 3/16 in. gauge with a 0.65 in. pile for a true roll. Rubber-backed and non-permeable, and infill is optional, so it suits a putting-only green with a well-sloped base.
0.65" pile · 40 oz face
$4.05/sq ft Order online →
Pro Putt 42
Texturized polypropylene with a 0.62 in. pile, 42 oz face weight and an 18 oz PU finish, set with 1–2 lbs/sq ft of infill. Built for backyard greens and chipping areas.
0.62" pile · 42 oz face
$1.65/sq ft Order online →
Bermuda
A 1.5 in. four-tone C-blade with curled thatch for the fringe and surrounding lawn. The taller pile frames the putting surface the way rough frames a green.

How we build putting greens projects
Melbourne plays golf year round
Golf has deep roots in Melbourne. Crane Creek Reserve on West New Haven Avenue is a Donald Ross design that opened in December 1928, and the city runs a second course, Harbor City, on Lake Washington Road. Both city courses list daily hours in every season. A backyard green lets you work on the short game between rounds, at night, or for ten minutes before work.
A green shaped for your yard
You choose the size, the breaks and where the cups go. We excavate, then compact a crushed-rock base and shape slopes and contours into it, so the green reads the way you asked for. Brevard’s soil is mostly sand, per UF/IFAS, and Melbourne gets about 51 inches of rain a year, so the base is graded to shed water quickly and stay true after a summer storm.
The fringe and surrounding lawn are our Bermuda, a taller 1.5-inch blade that frames the putting surface the way rough frames a real green.
Picking the putting surface
Pick by how you practice. Premier Putt is texturized nylon at a 3/16-inch gauge for a true roll, suited to a putting-only green with a well-sloped base. Pro Putt 42 is polypropylene with infill, built for backyard greens that also take chip shots. Both are tufted at our plant in Dalton, Georgia, are lead and PFAS free, and carry a 16-year warranty.
Waterfront and golf-community lots
Many Brevard greens sit near a canal, the river or a course, and both bring rules. Florida’s synthetic turf standard, Rule 62-308.100, has been in effect since May 2026, and it covers how turf is placed near water. HOA rules matter too: Florida § 720.3045 limits HOA control over turf hidden from view, but a backyard that faces a community golf course is not hidden. We plan placement and help with the HOA application.

Questions
Before you get a quote
Can I put a green near my seawall or canal?
Often yes, and waterfront greens are common here. Florida's turf rule, 62-308.100, sets installation standards that include placement near water, so we check your lot against it during the site visit before we lay out the green.
Will my HOA let me add a putting green?
Florida § 720.3045 keeps an HOA from restricting turf that isn't visible from the street, neighbors, a common area or a community golf course. Many Viera and golf-community backyards face a course, so plan on submitting an application; we supply samples and spec sheets.
Nylon or polypropylene?
Premier Putt is texturized nylon at a tight gauge for a truer roll on a putting-only green. Pro Putt 42 is polypropylene set with infill and handles chipping areas. We'll roll both on samples at your estimate.
How much does a backyard green cost?
Size, number of cups, breaks and how much fringe you want all change the price. We design on site and give you a written price at no charge.
